Many people in India still use rivers and streams for their main source of water, where they wash their dishes and clothes, as well as their bodies. Here, a Rajasthani mother washes her day's dishes by the river, using mud as the detergent for cleaning the grease from utensils and pots. This natural washing ‘detergent’ has been used for centuries in India, and, believe it or not, it works great!
